What good is a 60-mile trail if no one knows about it? Working with the River’s Edge Trail Foundation, we designed a website that’s hard to miss. From vibrant imagery to an interactive map, the new site offers fun and excitement, just like the trail!
Run by a foundation and reliant on donations, the River’s Edge Trail needed a website that would both inform and drive visitors to give. To accomplish this, we built an interactive website that allows users to truly engage with the trail, no matter their current location.
The new website design features vibrant photography reflecting the beautiful scenery that can be experienced on the trail’s 60 miles. In addition to the real-life imagery, users can view an interactive map of the trail, allowing them to easily pinpoint its location, entry points, and other useful information. To encourage social media sharing and keep the public informed, the new site also includes a live Instagram feed, multisource events calendar, and an online newsletter. For a chance to be featured on the site, runners, bikers, and hikers alike can share their experiences by using #riversedgetrail.
