Shodair children's hospital

branding campaign

Shodair Children’s Hospital provides specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents and is home to Montana’s only comprehensive genetics program. Yet assumptions persisted that Shodair only served children, and the hospital needed to present an updated representation of what they do. Wendt responded with a full-service campaign to give Montanans (who make up 99% of Shodair’s clientele) a clearer understanding of Shodair’s mission.

Shodair Children’s Hospital needed a rebranding that would tie their two organizations — specialized psychiatric care for children and a nationally recognized genetics program — together more cohesively. Though it is indeed a children’s hospital, Shodair is much more, offering comprehensive care for families as well as a genetics program for all ages. Shodair also currently serves as the only Children’s Miracle Network-affiliated hospital in Montana and provides care to children in all parts of the state.

This truly was a full-service campaign, as Wendt worked closely with Shodair on brand development, public relations, and native content. We used TV and radio ads, digital, mobile, social media, outdoor, and print channels to showcase Shodair’s offerings. Along with creating a cohesive brand, our goal was to highlight what makes Shodair special. No family is turned away from care at Shodair, which makes donor support vital. The hospital is the only provider of such specialized genetics care in Montana. Shodair also boasts an accredited school so children in their care can continue their education.

Shodair’s new narrative is progressive but timeless, and it centers on the hospital’s commitment to support, stabilize, and improve the lives of children in crisis. We are proud to partner with an organization so intensely dedicated to serving patients throughout their lives.

We Let AI Run Our Marketing Strategy for a Week (And yes… we have notes.)

There are a lot of conversations right now about AI in marketing. Some people are cautiously experimenting, and some have dived all the way in, proudly handing over the keys. So, in the spirit of curiosity, we decided to try something: We tasked AI with creating our marketing strategy for one week. No guardrails. No edits. Just prompts in, outputs out. Here’s what happened and what it taught us.
