Creating Intentional Partnerships: Q&A with our Account Manager

What does it take to build meaningful connections? According to Tyson, our rockstar account manager – a lot of heart, great food, and a willingness to go above and beyond. From managing budgets and writing proposals to taking client calls, Tyson brings a giving spirit to every task, redefining what it means to truly “embrace the charge.” How has that shaped our clients’ success? In more ways than one. Keep reading to learn more about Tyson, what fuels his drive, and how AI can play a part in it all.

1Who is Tyson?

Oh boy, that’s an interesting one. I am one who appreciates the simple things in life and also enjoys the finer things from time to time. 😉

I like to think of myself as someone who is an avid learner, focused on growth. Healthy relationships and fostering them is something I am passionate about. I have a giving spirit and love to feed people. I make sure that I act with intention and do my very best to offer grace where I can. I am a friend, husband, leader, goofball, and an account manager at the best agency around.

2What does your day look like as an account manager?

As an account manager, my day is spent taking care of the needs of others, whether those needs are my clients' or co-workers'. My day can go from slow and steady to chaotic and messy in the blink of an eye. Through it all, though, my focus is ensuring that the work that has been entrusted to me is being managed with intention to provide the best we can. At the same time, I am also responsible for making sure that the team doing the work has everything they need to be successful.

In and around all of that, I spend time managing budgets, taking calls with clients, and writing proposals. As an account manager, I take what comes my way and work to move it forward into something impactful. I also make sure we are having fun in the process!

3What fuels your drive for building client relationships?

My passion for cultivating client relationships stems from a genuine interest in understanding and meeting the unique needs of each client. I believe that strong relationships are built on trust, transparency, and consistent communication.

What truly fuels my drive is the satisfaction of seeing clients succeed and knowing that I played a part in their journey. Each relationship is an opportunity to learn, grow, and make a positive impact. I am motivated by the challenges and rewards that come with tailoring solutions to fit each client's vision and goals.

In the office, I am known for my ability to connect with clients on a personal level. This ability is not just a professional skill but a reflection of my commitment to building meaningful connections that go beyond business transactions.

4Our partners are amazing – how do you define success for them?

For me, success for our partners is all about helping them achieve their unique goals and seeing their brands flourish. It's not just about hitting the numbers, but also about the trust and satisfaction they have in our partnership.

Success means our partners feel confident working with us – seeing us as an extension of their team. It's about crafting strategies that deliver real results and being flexible to meet their changing needs. Ultimately, it's a shared journey where we celebrate the wins and tackle the challenges together.

5We know you're passionate about AI. Can you tell us more?

My passion for AI is driven by the incredible opportunities it presents for learning and innovation. AI is constantly evolving, bringing new and exciting capabilities that can transform the way we work. From automating routine tasks to providing deeper insights, AI has the potential to enhance our efficiency and creativity.

Despite the concerns surrounding it, I see AI as a powerful tool to complement and elevate the work we already do. It's about leveraging AI to improve processes, make more informed decisions, and ultimately deliver better results for our clients. By embracing AI, we can stay ahead of the curve and continue to provide cutting-edge solutions. I'm excited to explore its potential and integrate it into our strategies to create even more value!

6What brings you the most joy about working at Wendt?

What brings me the most joy is the incredible culture and the amazing people who make up this team. The dedication and abilities of my co-workers are truly inspiring. Everyone here is committed to delivering the best results for our clients, and it's this shared passion that creates a dynamic and supportive environment. The culture at Wendt is one of collaboration and mutual respect. We understand that we are all just human, and this understanding fosters a sense of empathy and camaraderie. It's a place where we celebrate each other's successes and support each other through challenges. The genuine connections and friendships I've formed here make every day rewarding. Working at Wendt is not just about the work we do, but about the people we do it with. Their dedication, talent, and humanity make this agency a special place to be.
